How to change a Storage Tier for a VM

Here are the steps to change a storage tier (Basic, Mid, High Performance) in VM.

This change is done live without any downtime or service interruption.


1. Login to your vCloud Director.


2. Choose the VM you need to change storage profiles for .


3. Look at the details of the VM and Select "Hard Disks"


4. Select Edit from the screen above and change ANY Disk to the profile you need.  (To have more than 1 storage profile you need to purchase multiple profiles via MYAccount)
