What is a processor license?
A processor license lets you subscribe to Microsoft software through Zettagrid. It grants unlimited user access to the software. Processor licenses usually cost more than Subscriber Access Licenses (SALs) but become cost-effective as user numbers grow.
Unlike a SAL, which covers multiple software instances or VMs, a processor license corresponds directly to the number of VMs. One VM requires one processor license set; two VMs require two sets, and so forth. Zettagrid limits processor licenses to two per VM, regardless of cores or GHz.
