Software Installation Guidelines

Microsoft Software

Under our licensing with Microsoft, only customers with Software Assurance may import or export Microsoft product licenses into Zettagrid. Read more on our Microsoft Software Licensing page. If you don't meet these criteria, you cannot install your Microsoft licensed products in Zettagrid and must rent the software from us.

Other Software

You may install any software in Zettagrid if you comply with the copyright owner's licensing. It is your responsibility to ensure compliance. If Zettagrid learns you are breaching a license, we will require you to fix it or risk service discontinuation.

The Demarcation Point

Zettagrid maintains the infrastructure and virtual environment. You remain responsible for the operating system and applications. We offer helpful hints on our website but do not provide services. We recommend consulting an IT specialist. Contact us for advice or recommendations if you lack a service provider. If issues arise, you can always rebuild your server.
