Accessing Child Accounts
If you are a partner with multiple linked accounts or a reseller with multiple linked end-customer accounts then access can be granted to allow users from your parent account to log in and manage child accounts.
Once access has been granted any user (login) for the parent account can access the child account and perform any actions on behalf of the child account.
Gaining permission to access to an existing child account
If you have access to log in to a child account and permission form the account owner then you can log in to MyAccount as the child account user and tick the box to grant access. Otherwise you can ask the owner of the account to do this for you. See details at Grant access to your parent partner account.
You can send a request directly from MyAccount by viewing the partner program tab and clicking the “Request access” button next to the child account.
This will generate an email to the child account requesting that they grant you access. If the child account grants you access you will be able to log in to the child account as described below.
Granting access on account creation
If a new customer nominates a partner account and ticks the checkbox to allow partner access on signup then access will be granted for the partner to log in to the new account.
If a partner creates a new child account via MyAccount partner program tab, they can allow parent access.
Accessing a Child Account
If you have access to one or more child accounts then you can see this in both the top menu bar of MyAccount and the list of child accounts in the partner program tab.
If you have access to the child accounts then the top menu bar shows an icon indicating that you have child accounts next to your account name (see below). If you click your account name a list is displayed of the accounts to which you have access. Clicking on one of those account will take you to that account.
If you view the Profile, Partner Program tab you can see a list of all your child accounts. If you have access to the account it will have a “Login to Child Account” link. Clicking this link will take you to the child account.
While you are logged in to a child account, an alert icon is shown next to the account name in the top menu bar to remind you that you are viewing a child account and any actions you take are applied to the child account.
To return to your own parent account, click the account name to show the list and then select your own parent account from the list.
