To get/reset the Virtual Machine Administrator/Root Passwordfollow Password follow these simple steps:

1. Go to your vCloud Director Portal.

2. Right click the required VM and select Properties Details.

3. Then go to Guest OS Customization. Your The dafault password will be displayed under the Password Reset headingupon opening 'Edit'.

Note: You must tick 'Enable guest customization' to allow changes to the other settings.

Note: If your password is not displayed on the Guest OS Customization tab click on the General tab and check under the Description field.Image RemovedIMPORTANT! If you are resetting the password for a live machine, please ensure Change SID is disabled.
