The Parties 

Zettagrid and the Customer (an entity subscribing to Zettagrid cloud services) agree that by accessing Zettagrid cloud services, you ("The Customer", "you", "your") accept the terms and conditions in the Standard Form of Agreement.

What is Mobile Broadband?

Mobile broadband refers to wireless high-speed internet access via a portable modem, phone, or other device. Network standards include 4G, WiMAX, LTE UMTS/HSDPA, EV-DO, and some portable satellite systems. (Credit Wikipedia)

Zettagrid offers Mobile Broadband over the Optus 4G Plus network, with fallback to HSDPA/UMTS/EDGE/GPRS/GSM when high-speed networks are unavailable. This service complements fixed-line NBN or fibre service, it does not replace these high speed fixed line services.

4G Mobile Broadband speeds depend on location. Speeds drop significantly on EDGE/GPRS/GSM networks.

Download speeds and latency vary with signal strength, network congestion, and the internet resource's delivery speed.

Zettagrid tracks your data usage but not the websites or networks you access. To monitor your network use, we recommend installing your own monitoring tools.

Zettagrid cannot guarantee consistent signal strength, connection, or download speed.

This is a data-only service. Voice calls and SMS messages are not supported.

Telecommunications Installation

Mobile Broadband installation requires no specific equipment.

An antenna may be needed to improve signal strength.

CPE Installation and Equipment Supply

We may provide Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) such as a modem, pre-configured with your connection details.

We supply a SIM to connect to the mobile network. Other SIMs or mobile numbers cannot be used.

We are not liable for issues from supplied equipment. Zettagrid offers reasonable phone support to help you install and connect using this device.

For Huawei E8372 USB Modem users, a USB-compatible computer or network device is required.

If you supply your own CPE, Zettagrid is not obliged to support its configuration but will provide generic network settings.

You may hire a Zettagrid technician for onsite CPE installation and configuration at an hourly rate, in addition to setup and monthly fees.

Connection Speeds

Mobile Broadband connects to the 4G Optus network. We cannot guarantee specific speeds. Speed depends on:

a) Signal strength based on your location and distance from the cell tower.

b) Capacity of the cell tower you connect to.

c) Your hardware, especially the modem.

d) Capacity and load of the server or website you access.

Monthly Use

Monthly use is measured in megabytes.

Your plan includes a single monthly data quota.

Both downloads and uploads count toward your monthly quota.

Zettagrid will notify you by email at 50%, 85%, and 100% of your data quota. Notifications may be delayed up to 48 hours.

Zettagrid allows all outbound traffic but blocks certain incoming traffic on commonly exposed ports used in DDoS reflection attacks.

You must secure your network, including blocking ports commonly used for inbound and outbound DDoS and network attacks.

After reaching your monthly quota, you will be charged an excess rate per MB.

Plan changes take effect at the next billing period.

Your data allowance resets on the 1st of each month.

Contract Term

Mobile Broadband services have minimum contract terms specific to the service type.

Minimum contract terms are one or 24 months.

Cancelling or moving your service within the contract term incurs an Early Termination Fee, detailed in the General Terms and Conditions.
