Once your vDC has been provisioned it'virtual data center (vDC) is ready, it's time to start get your Cloud cloud going by creating making some Virtual Machines.  You You can create a these Virtual Machine Machines (VMVMs) by using the vCloud VMware Cloud Director Templates. Here are the easy steps: 's how to do it easily:


1. Login to your vCloud Director. Find your username and password within the My Account portal.

2. Go to the My Cloud tab and click on the + icon.

3. Choose Public Catalog from the drop down menu and select the OS for your new VM.

4. Enter the name for your vApp and select the VDC where your new VM will reside.

5. Give your VM a name. Don't forget to choose a Storage Tier.

6. Select Networks.

7. Choose the resources you wish to assign to your VM.

8. Your new VM will now start provisioning. Once the VM has provisioned you will be able to see it listed.

2. On the Virtual Data Center dashboard screen, click the card of the virtual data center you want to explore and from the left panel, select Virtual Machines.

3. Click New VM. Enter the name, the computer name, and optionally, a description for the virtual machine. Ensure that From Template is selected. If you want the VM to power on right after its creation, select the Power on check box.

4. Select a VM template from the list of available templates then specify a storage policy.

5. Lastly, select the Network where you want to connect your VM to, make sure that the Connected checkbox is checked, Select the appropriate IP Mode, then click OK. You can monitor your VM provisioning status by expanding Recent Tasks on the lower left.

You can see the card of the virtual machine in the catalog. Until the virtual machine is created, its state is displayed as Busy.
